Meet The Founding Members

Lantera, FL was born out of a collective passion for, and personal connection to, mental health. The founding group saw a need for more mental health awareness and access in the South Florida community, especially for those who are marginalized – and wanted to help change that.  

 

Having seen firsthand the effects that exclusion and stigmas can have on the most vulnerable; we created Lantera, FL to help others find affordable access to resources, education and tools. Lantera wants to be a light for those struggling in the dark, to help them successfully navigate  some of the darkest corners of their lives; and to serve as a beacon of hope and a flame to spread awareness, and promote mental health care, belonging and connection for everyone. 

 

With open arms and open hearts, we are devoted to creating wonderful events and memories, to raise awareness and funds for a wide variety of inclusive mental health organizations, groups  and causes in our community – so they can help all members of our community. Not just a small subsection, but the entire community - and every single letter of the LGBTQIA+.
